The launch of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network's web site and new publication

December 5, 2011

The ILO Global Business and Disability Network is launching its web site ( on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, 3 December 2011.

The web site has been developed in close collaboration with Network members and the ILO International Training Centre in Turin. It is our hope that the web site will attract members and potential members of the Network and keep them informed about the Network's latest developments and activities. Visitors will also be able to access key disability resources through the platform. When navigating the web site, please make sure to click on the Network's new film placed on the front page. The film includes interviews with Network members and examples of people with disabilities at work.

Currently, the public pages of the web site are available in English. We will soon have the public pages translated into French and Spanish. Also, we are developing the reserved pages of the web site, where members will have further access to key Network documents, disability resources, a discussion board, and a blog. We will keep you updated on the web site's development.

We are also launching the Network's 2nd publication, "Disability in the Workplace: Employers' organizations and business networks", a report of 12 case studies on how such organizations and networks engage with their members to address disability issues. The report can be found on the web site, under "Resources-Publications". You may visit
